Guests have the use of the Logis du Paradis’ private heated salt water swimming pool in the Summer, located in a secluded and sunny enclosed garden with chairs, tables and sun loungers. There is assorted inflatables and water toys for the children. The pool garden has a doorway through into the walled park as well as an entrance into the private bar area. Access to the pool garden is restricted for the security of children via locked gates. The pool garden is available for evening meals and BBQ’s during the summer.
The “big chai” is our function room come games room, it forms part of the 19th century cognac distillery buildings and would have been used to house cognac barrels. It has table tennis and a host of other outdoor toys available for children to use.For weddings, family parties and functions Le Grand Chai can be transformed into a dining hall with seating for up to one hundred guests. The big chai also has ladies, gents and disabled toilet facilities and access to the private bar.
The Logis Park which is now laid to grass used to be a huge potager. The two acres of park has now all been laid to grass.The fully walled park area is the ideal place for children to run free it has a tree house and swing, ride on’s to use, cricket and croquet sets as well as Pétanque. One solitary corner houses a Bee hive from which we extract our own honey and serve as part of our breakfasts. There are two lovely avenues of Lime and Hornbeam trees offering some shaded area to relax and read or picnic. Guests staying in the Bee house have a unique terrace overlooking the park and get to enjoy the full stunning sunsets.
Breakfast is served to bed and breakfast guests either in the guests, dining room or on the south-facing terrace overlooking the Logis courtyard. Breakfast includes fresh fruit juice, yoghurt, fresh fruit, French bread and croissants, butter, jams, and of course our delicious own honey, and tea coffee or hot chocolate. We are happy to recommend and make reservations for you at local restaurants should you wish. On request (24 hour notice), we can also provide a four-course candle-lit dinner on the terrace under the stars or in our guest dining room. Edgar is our fully trained in house chef, we can offer smaller meals and children’s meals and can fully cater for dietary requirements. Larger meals and outside catering is also available on request.
We also have a private bar available for functions and parties.
