We enjoy using this car ourselves as it provides classic, quality motoring but with modern refinements and ease of driving. It is a 2 door pillarless coupe with timeless good looks and with the electric sunroof and ability to wind down all the windows provides summery fresh air travel.

It is one of the later W124 E class cars, often referred to as the last of the Mercedes Benz models that were built to an ultimate quality standard, regardless of cost. It was certainly a very expensive car when new. The 220 has reasonable performance but excellent fuel economy on cheaper unleaded fuel. The car has the usual, sophisticated M-B automatic transmission with both Sport and Economy settings. The car has comfortable cloth seats for 4 adults with seat belts front and rear and a modern CD sound system. There is a large carpeted luggage compartment.

This car looks and feels right whether it is in front of a premier Cru Chateau in the Medoc or on the boulevards of Cognac or Angouleme or cruising along the sea front at La Rochelle.
